Stephenie Meyer has confirmed (on her website) that she received word from Atlantic Records saying that the first single for "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" Soundtrack has been confirmed. Said single is from "Death Cab for Cutie" which wrote a song exclusively for the movie, titled "Meet Me on the Equinox".

It was also announced that the NEW soundtrack release date will be October 20th and NOT October 13th like previoulsy stated.

From Atlantic and Chop Shop Records: "Fans will be able to hear the song, which was written exclusively for the soundtrack, in its entirety for the first time September 13th on www.mtv.com during the MTV VMAs."
