Eastwick... A New ABC Series

I dont like to assume things, but... after watching the previews (below), I cant help but have this lil "Charmed" / "Sex and the City " dejavu, with a splash of "Desperate Housewives".
I will tune in for certain, if not, I'll just DVR the pilot. Even though I pretty much like anything and everything that has to do with science fiction (and I also love love love Lindsay Price), I'm not so sure this show will do well. Who knows? I could be wrong... wouldnt be the first time :-P

So "Eastwick" in a nutshell... Self sufficient women, leading regular normal lives.... The find out they have "supernatural" abilities... let the fun begin!

Apparently, this is the third TV adaptation of The Witches of Eastwick.
The first two tries, one on 1992 (NBC) and the other on 2002 (FOX), resulted fruitless as both of them went unsold. Now, years after the second strike, ABC picked it up. I guess the masses will decide if:

(a) this will become a third strike, or
(b) third time's a charm

I'm betting on "a"!
