It's Growing On Me

So I kinda had a feeling that once I was on my TENTH (plus!) listen of the NM soundtrack, I'd end up liking it! AND. I. WAS. NOT. WRONG!!!

Talk about SELF BRAINWASHING!!! Hahahahahaa...
My first impression of the music involved in this movie was "OMG!!! THE HORROR! JUST IN TIME FOR HALLOWEEN!!!!!!" Needless to say, I was appalled, nauseated, horrified! How could Weitz do this to US! To they loyal fans! O. M. J!!!! (Ok, so that was gay. Had to try!!)

Truth is, this soundtrack is just like beer... an ACQUIRED taste. Once you have hammered yourself with these tunes, you'll grow to love and yearn to hear it every hour, every minute... every second of every day! (Sure, sure!)

So far my favorites are: "Possibility" (by Lykke Li), "Rosyln" (by Bon Iver & St. Vincent), "Satellite Heart" (by Anya Marina), "Shooting the Moon" (by OKGo), "Friends" (by Band of Skulls) and "Slow Life" (by Grizzly Bear).

I CANNOT STOMACH "No Sound But The Wind" (by The Editors) but of course... I'm working on it! LOL!

Here are the NM soundtrack artists pictures...

So tell us, what did you think about the album when you first heard it? What do you think about it now? and... Do you think you will LOVE it after seeing the movie and being able to relate the song to the story of the movie?

I'm really curious to know! :-)
